Food is meant to be eaten!
Day 12 of the Minimalist Home Challenge: The Pantry.
Pantries are great to keep unsightly food items off the kitchen counter or out of your cabinets, but they often collect multiples of food items, as well as food we don’t use. Since the food is out of sight, it is out of mind.
Another digital cleanse. Day 11 of the Minimalist Home Challenge: we’re looking at our social media feeds.
Let’s face it. We all use social media. You probably came across this blog post by way of Facebook, Instagram, or Pinterest. But I find it frustrating to open up my social media to find an endless stream of new content, that I really don’t care that much about. Retweets of Memes, Recipes I’ll never try, or ads from stores I’ll never shop at. I was wasting so much time just scrolling through content to get to the next thing I actually wanted to look at… Read more
First of all, apologies to those who’ve been following along the Minimalist Home Challenge for the short pause in posts! I was “getting my creative on” all weekend by hanging with my friend Alayna Hryclik owner and creator of soft flirt at the “The Modern Mom Show Christmas Market” doing an Instagram Take-over, and shooting content for a client managed by Jen at somethingsimple.co. I’m a sucker for free samples… (which if you’re following me on Instagram Stories, you saw the mayhem that was my bathroom drawers…. embarrassing!). It seems like more and more stores are getting you hooked on their products by offering free samples with purchase (…I’m looking at you Sephora!). Although I never buy those face masks and under eye creams, they were taking up so much room in my bathroom vanity. Read more

Don’t get me wrong… I love libraries and sliding ladders (hello… Beauty and the Beast 🥀), opening up an old book, and spending a cozy winter evening cuddled up by the fire with a novel…. But isn’t the purpose of having books is so that they are read? Read more
